The Birth of Girl Level Up Inc.

Girl Level Up Inc. was born in 2018 from a personal challenge faced by its founder, Brittney Houser. During one of the most difficult seasons of her life, she found herself on the edge of giving up on her dreams. Instead of surrendering, she transformed that moment into purpose—committing herself to helping other women avoid reaching that same breaking point. From that decision, an empowering space for growth, resilience, and support began to take shape.

As the vision grew, Brittney realized the impact could—and should—extend to the next generation. Today’s generation of girls is navigating a world filled with new pressures, expectations, and obstacles. They need our support now more than ever. When Brittney returned to her hometown of Selma, AL, in 2021 during the pandemic, she reflected on the opportunities she lacked growing up and recognized how transformative a strong foundation could have been. She knew that today’s girls deserved early access to guidance, resources, and real-world experiences.

Driven by a deep commitment to uplift her community, Brittney established Girl Level Up as a nonprofit organization rooted in empowerment, mentorship, and real-life development. By sharing her journey and investing in the girls of Selma, she is helping equip them with the confidence, skills, and opportunities they need to dream boldly, succeed fully, and reach their highest potential.
